The final step to setting up a collective agreement is to enter the wage schedule.

Navigate to the Occupation Entry screen. Select [c] Payroll, then [u] Set Up, then [e] Occupation Entry.

Navigation Pane

The Occupation Entry screen lists all occupations for all unions:

[c] Payroll | [u] Set Up | [e] Occupation Entry

Start by setting up the occupation. Use the Add action to enter a new occupation.

[c] Payroll | [u] Set Up | [e] Occupation Entry

The union and the occupation will uniquely identify the occupation. In this case we’re setting up a Boom Truck Operator:

[c] Payroll | [u] Set Up | [e] Occupation Entry

The fields on this screen serve a variety of purposes:

Position

H/R classification for this occupation. Positions can be specified on the H/R Position Entry screen.

[f] Human Resources | [u] Set Up | [c] Position Classification Entry

This field is for reporting purposes only. It is included as an export column on the P/R Employee Rates Report.

Trade

H/R Trade for this position.

This field is for reporting purposes only. It is included as an export column on the P/R Employee Rates Report.

Level

H/R Trade Level for this position.

Trades will be sorted by this level.

It is also reported on the S/R Trade Ticket Levels by Job report.

T&M Occupation

This field allows you to map which rate this occupation is billed as. For instance, several levels of apprentice may all bill out at the same rate, and it simplifies matters to only set up the rate once and refer to it from each occupation that uses it.

Centre

Abio’s web tool allows field users to enter time for their crew members. These users aren’t expected to be concerned about coding time to specific job cost centres. Timesheets entered on the web tool will use this centre when employees are classified as this occupation.

Occupation Rates

Rates are effective dated.

Some styles of vacation, statutory, and union dues are based on hours worked extended at base rates.

Regular, time & a half, and overtime rates are used when timesheets are posted for this union and occupation.
